Norevo launches a process for chewy candy with vitamins

Norevo, which supplies natural ingredients for the confectionery, food and cosmetic industry, has launched Quick Mix, to produce chewy candy without a cooking step.

The development means manufacturers can integrate vitamins into a product, which would otherwise be destroyed if they are heated too much during the cooking process.

Felicitas Oltrogge, marketing manager, Norevo, said the firm was exhibiting at ProSweets in Cologne this week to focus on its ‘so-called confectionery performers’, which for example are texturizers to replace gelatin in chewy candy, jellies or gums and glazing and polishing agents for pan-coated products.

It also has products for raw materials like honey or licorice extract.

On display was a yellow chew gum ball machine with a product that contains texturizers, glazing agent and re-coating and gum agent.

Our customer groups are producers of toffee, gums and marshmallows and we supply internationally,” said Oltrogge.

We supply natural raw materials and functional ingredients but also offer development support for a new product. We can supply the ingredients you need and technical expertise to optimize a product.”
