The buzz: Innovations from ISM & ProSweets 2017

Visitor numbers stable, but fewer buyers from China and the UK at this year's ISM

Discover product developments and business news from the world's largest confectionery trade fair ISM Cologne and insights from sister supplier show ProSweets.

The 47th ISM in Cologne, Germany, welcomed 38,000 trade buyers from over 140 countries. Visitors numbers were stable versus last year, when comparing this year's press release from organizer Koelnmesse to 2016's release.

Around 67% of visitors to ISM this year came from overseas, while the share of foreign exhibitors was 86%.

Then organizer reported growth in visitor numbers from Japan, India, Pakistan and the Baltic region. However, visitors from the UK, China and Turkey declined year-on-year.
