Easy Teasy has launched a series of tea-infused chocolate products with flavors include Christmas Spice, Cloud Catcher, Orange Blossom Oolong, Summer Sencha, Earl Grey and Chai.

The new products are made with the company’s own range of loose tea and Belgian chocolate and contain no artificial flavors.

The UK-based company, started by managing director Harry Marshall during his final year in college and other Northumbria University graduates, specializes in loose tea, which it sells online and to cafés in the North of England.

Complementary to core loose-tea range

The Newcastle start-up won the Best Investment Proposal, and the Best Trade Stand awards at the Young Enterprise Final Awards in Manchester. Before launching the new chocolate products, Marshall said the company focused solely on loose leaf tea and accessories.

“This is now a complement to our range.”

Marshall refused to give any figures related to the company’s market value and sales performance because it’s still in start-up phase, and the team has only just finished the test trading period.

Expanding distribution

Easy Teasy's new chocolate range is currently sold only at select retailers in the UK, but the company hopes to expand distribution.

"We'll be selling them [the chocolate range] in the same channels as our tea in the new year," said Marshall.

The chocolate range retails for £3.50 ($5.25) and is produced by a UK-based contract manufacturer.
