Fudge producer Buttermilk Confectionery ups capacity with new production site

UK handmade fudge maker Buttermilk Confectionery has acquired a new factory that doubles its production space.

The Cornish company, currently based in Wadebridge, will boost its output by 50% when it moves to the new £500,000 ($850,000) site in Bodmin, north Cornwall in January 2015.

The new premises is just eight miles from the currently facility but brings the company a little closer to its local suppliers.

The family-owned business run by David and Tracy Goad currently employs 20 staff and will take on a further four when it completes the move.
